About
So recently I had the opportunity to apply to an online media source that reviews cars. Now to become a voice behind some of the greatest and lamest cars I will ever see in my life would be an unrecognized dream brought into reality! Think about whatever it is that makes you wake up, get out the door early in the morning to go to work to afford your life. Whether it’s rock climbing, snowboarding, chess, or cross stitching, you work to support it. Now what if you could be the one who influences others over your favorite hobby. Yeah,… reality. Hi. Nice to finally meet you. (You have never seen someone take so long to write a cover letter!)
I have always said it would be my dream to be able to work from anywhere. Everywhere would be my office! Combine that with my love for anything that goes fast, and I will probably become a workaholic. Now most of you will wonder, “How the hell did you make it to 30 before you realized this!?” Well, it wasn’t a career path I thought I could ever obtain. So why try!? (I can’t believe I said that, let alone actually believed it!) This type of thinking goes back many years to when I was much younger in Kentucky. Doctors, lawyers, and janitors were the only jobs presented by the people around me. FBI and CIA agents was so fairytale to a poor young Kentucky kid, let alone anything in the automotive industry besides a mechanic. Immediately, jobs anywhere in between became a fantasy. We couldn’t afford a fantasy life. (Cause if we could it would be a m’elange of Rob Dyrdek, Travis Pastrana, & Russell Brand.) That’s why I chose computer science. Yeah I’m a geek. A geek with a gear shift pattern tattoo!
Fast forward to today, Computer Science, a few broken bones, hearts, totaled cars, and a buisness later, here I sit starting something new that I know I can’t lose at under any circumstance. I will be forwarding my resume onto the media group in about 3 hours so that it sits at the top of their email stack Monday morning when the first few determined souls arrive. Whether it goes any further than the resume submission or not, I know now it has kick started this site and my drive to chase my dream. Now I don’t have the production dollars or the car industry contacts of Jeremy Clarkson, of Top Gear, or Matt Farah, of The Car Show & TheSmokingTire.com, but I have the love that they do.
So sit back, buckle your seat belts and suscribe to this page. You will also be my navigator, helping me to decide on what to write about next. I hope to follow your advice and would love to eventually have some giveaways on here. Thanks for checking me out. Painting a new tall 11 on some pavement near you!
